Perhaps inspired by the success of the school worker strikes in Oklahoma, West Virginia and South Carolina, 393 of Dekalb County’s 908 school bus drivers, called out sick on Thursday as a way to fight for improvements in salaries and benefits. “Fallen Soldier” film fights for social justice

Beginning on August 15, 2017, Cause +Effect Progressive Film Festival will accept 2-15 minute films about poverty, homelessness, river pollution, gun violence and any other issue that affects Georgians. DeKalb needs early voting sites — and a way to contact officials

There’s a continued push to get adequate early voting sites in DeKalb County for the Congressional District 6 special election run-off, now a race between Jon Ossoff and Karen Handel. Right now, there is only one early voting site inside the district, limiting access for many voters.
