Handel silent on Trump’s scandals

Trump is a dumpster fire. And Karen Handel is standing idly by while this country burns. Just over the course of the past two weeks, Trump has been the source of multiple scandals. Last Monday, Trump fired FBI Director James Comey who was heading up the investigation into Trump’s Russia ties. Trump has cited conflicting reasons over the past week for this action, but ultimately Trump admitted he had “this Russia thing” on his mind when

Handel, Trump push anti-abortion, anti-woman policies

Karen Handel and Donald Trump have at least one thing in common: they are willing to throw women under the bus in order to promote their abortion-stigmatizing agendas. For Handel, her anti-abortion, anti-woman leadership was most notable when she used her position at the Susan G. Komen Foundation to end the organization’s funding of mammograms at Planned Parenthood healthcare facilities. She later wrote a whole book about it, called “Planned Bullyhood,” after the Komen Foundation

Handel refuses to criticize Trump’s Comey firing

Yesterday, Trump abruptly fired the director of the F.B.I., James B. Comey, who was in the middle of leading a criminal investigation into whether Trump’s advisers and the Russian government worked together during the presidential election to ensure Trump’s victory. Trump’s actions are a blatant attack on democracy, but 6th Congressional District candidate Karen Handel refuses to speak out against Trump. How can you criticize someone who raised $750,000 for your campaign? After waiting a full

Tom Price was interviewed on Fox and Friends about Trump’s alternative to the Affordable Care Act. He was specifically asked by one of the show’s hosts if older and sicker people could end up

Voter registration deadline extended!

In the midst of so much bad news yesterday there is a small piece of good news: the voter registration deadline for the Congressional District 6 race between Jon Ossoff and Karen Handel has been extended. Thanks to a lawsuit from the NAACP, Asian Americans Advancing Justice and other groups, the deadline to register to vote for the June 20 special election run-off has been extended through May 21. This means that anyone who lives

Ossoff and Handel in dead heat

As the special election for the Georgia’s 6th Congressional District continues, Jon Ossoff continues to perform well in the polls — despite the support Trump and Gov. Nathan Deal are funneling toward Ossoff’s opponent Karen Handel. In a recent poll conducted by Anzalone Listz Grove Research, Ossoff is leading over Handel by one point at 48-47. Though it’s a tight race right now, Ossoff is pulling in the voters he needs to win. He’s leading by 12
