Doraville police shoot man who took over a patrol car

DORAVILLE — The GBI is investigating a police shooting that occurred Thursday morning after a traffic stop in Doraville. One man was shot and has sustained injuries. No officers were injured during the incident.  According to the GBI, preliminary information indicates that at about 11:50 a.m., Doraville Police officers attempted to conduct a traffic stop on a van on Chamblee Tucker Road in Doraville. Police search for another suspect in the killing of a woman at a Centerville Highway car dealership

The Gwinnett Police Homicide Unit has identified an additional suspect in connection with the death of 34-year-old Snellville resident Courtney Owens, who was killed at a car dealership on Centerville Highway. Stoney Williams, a 41-year-old Conyers man is charged with malice murder, felony murder, and aggravated assault. Police say Williams is not in custody, and his whereabouts are unknown.
