On National Vote Early Day, Georgia voters continue to shatter records

Saturday was National Vote Early Day, a date set by nonprofits and businesses to raise awareness of early voting options throughout the United States. Arrest made in killing of Statesboro woman

Law enforcement officers have arrested and charged 44-year-old man in the Friday killing of a Statesboro woman. Lee Allen Mayhew was charged with felony murder, aggravated assault, possession of firearm during the commission of crime, theft by taking motor vehicle, and burglary.  According to the GBI, preliminary information shows that Bonnie Lanier Rushing was killed at her home located on Stilson Leefield Road in Statesboro in the afternoon hours of Oct. 23.
