Suspect in killing of 15-year-old turns himself in

A suspect in the killing of a 15-year-old boy has turned himself in to the Coffee County Jail, authorities say.  On Wednesday, the Georgia Bureau of Investigation secured a Felony Murder arrest warrant for 18-year-old Savionte Torek Traylor, of Douglas, in connection to the death of 15-year-old Ja’rique Johan Brown, that occurred on Monday, Oct. 5. Feds foil militia plot to kidnap Michigan’s governor

GoFundMe page set up for 9-year-old who was stabbed to death

The grandmother of a 9-year-old girl who was stabbed to death at a Tifton apartment complex has set up a GoFundMe page to raise money for her funeral. Tifton Police Officers responded to the Peterson Apartments Tuesday morning where the body of 9-year-old Alazia Johnson was found.  Agents and investigators are actively investigating this incident as a homicide. Alazia’s body was taken to the GBI Medical Examiner’s Office in Decatur where autopsy results are pending.
