You’re Invited to the 2nd Annual Cause + Effect Progressive Film Festival

You’re invited to the Second Annual Cause + Effect Progressive Film Festival on Sunday, Nov. 6 at Cine in Athens.

Reserve your free tickets now!

Presented by Alliance for a Better Georgia, Cause + Effect provides a platform for Georgia filmmakers to explore some of the most critical social, political, environmental and economic issues facing our communities and our state.

This year, we received incredible short films from Georgians of all ages and backgrounds about everything from homeless veterans to transgender identity; domestic violence to river conservation; social justice to children living in poverty.

This year’s festival will begin with a 6:30 p.m. reception, complete with hors’ d’oeuvres from The National. At 7:30 p.m., we’ll screen the finalist films, present cash prizes to the winning filmmakers and hold a special filmmaker Q&A.

Tickets are going much faster than anticipated and the festival will sell out again this year, so please reserve your free tickets now.

In addition to celebrating diversity and tackling tough issues, part of what makes Cause + Effect so special is our focus on accessibility. Unlike most film festivals, filmmakers can submit for free and festival tickets are free for everyone, thanks, in part, to our amazing sponsors:

  • Parents/Supporters of Clarke County Schools
  • The National
  • Heirloom Cafe
  • Bel-Jean Printing
  • Cine

It’s not too late to sign on as a 2016 festival. If you or someone you know is interested in supporting our efforts, please visit CauseAndEffectFilm.org/sponsors.

We hope to see you on Nov. 6 as we screen these important Georgia films!
