We’re winning

Thanks to you, Georgia’s reputation as “the reddest of red states” is in jeopardy.

That’s right. Together, we’ve worked hard, and now, I have great news to share with you.

We’re winning.

During early voting, we’ve turned out in unprecedented numbers to vote for a brighter future for our state. In fact, so far, 933,699 Georgians have voted early, and they are the most diverse group of voters in the history of our state:

The AJC reports:

All but final calculations have African-American voters in Georgia providing a larger share – more than 13 percent – of early ballots in this year’s general election than they did in 2010.

More than 226,000 of Georgia’s early voters did not cast a ballot in 2010. This means Georgia is ready for change.

The fact is, many thought it wasn’t possible that Georgia would be “in play” in 2014.

But at Better Georgia, we always knew it could be, and thanks to you – it is.

Tuesday, November 4th is your last chance to vote in this historic election.

Polls will be open from 7 AM to 7 PM

While the early vote numbers are very encouraging, progressive candidates won’t winunless you vote. It’s that simple.

If you have not voted yet, make a plan to vote on Tuesday. It’s your last chance.

If you have already voted, then please forward this email to three friends who may not have voted, and encourage them to go to the polls tomorrow and cast a ballot.

There’s no question about it, we’re on the verge of making history in Georgia – not in 2016 or 2018, but right here, right now.

If you aren’t satisfied with a Georgia that leads the nation in unemployment and lags behind in middle class wages, it’s important that you vote on Tuesday.

If you believe, as we do, that in Georgia, we can do better, then make a plan now to cast your vote on Tuesday.

This is the kind of election historians will write about and pundits will discuss for years. One day, you will tell your children and grandchildren about voting in the election that put Georgia on a more progressive path.

Together, we’ve worked hard, invested wisely and built a grassroots army of more than 100,000 Georgians.

Recently, veteran AJC political reporter Jim Galloway, wrote:

Jason Carter and Michelle Nunn are pounding on the gates of Fort Republican, a thick-walled edifice that almost everyone assumed came with a 20 year warranty. Including most Democrats. Lo and behold, cracks have appeared far ahead of schedule.

Everyone expects our elections to be very close. By casting your vote and encouraging others to do the same, you can make all the difference.

Together, we can do this!

Remember, Tuesday, Nov. 4th is the last chance to vote in this historic election. Join this movement for change by casting your ballot on Tuesday! You can find your polling location by clicking here.
