Trump administration, complicit Republicans threaten Ga. women

It’s very clear Trump’s healthcare plans are bad for women. In addition to the challenges the American Health Care Act will create for folks who become pregnant or choose to seek support services after surviving a rape or sexual assault, cuts to family planning services are looming. And based on District 6 Congressional candidate Karen Handel’s attacks on women’s health, her defunding of Planned Parenthood and her willingness to stand by and say nothing as

Handel, Trump push anti-abortion, anti-woman policies

Karen Handel and Donald Trump have at least one thing in common: they are willing to throw women under the bus in order to promote their abortion-stigmatizing agendas. For Handel, her anti-abortion, anti-woman leadership was most notable when she used her position at the Susan G. Trump’s Supreme Court pick would be a disaster for women, LGBT rights

Neil Gorsuch — Donald Trump’s anti-abortion and anti-LGBT Supreme Court nominee — is on track to get confirmed as soon as next week. Democrats in the Senate are hoping they can kill the nomination with a filibuster, although there may be enough support for Gorsuch’s nomination to defeat a filibuster and allow the vote to happen. Reproductive rights advocates are extremely concerned about his nomination, and rightfully so. Gorsuch had a hand in the Hobby

Have you thanked an abortion provider today?

It’s the National Day of Appreciation for Abortion Providers! This little known holiday, on the heels of International Women’s Day, occurs every year on the anniversary of the death of Dr. David Gunn, who was murdered by anti-abortion extremists back in 1993. Abortion providers take on much needed, but heavily stigmatized work. And they risk their lives to do so. Today is a day for stepping back and appreciating abortion providers. It’s a day to appreciate
