This Saturday, March 24, students and people of all ages, led by survivors of the shooting at Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School, are headed to the nation’s Capital to demand stricter gun control laws.
Marches on the same date are also planned in cities around Georgia. Here’s more info. on how you can take part:
- Atlanta (Center)
- Atlanta (West)
About a week ago yet another school shooting shook the nation. Eleven weeks into 2018 we have experienced 17 school shootings as a nation–that’s 1.5 shootings every week.
Now more than ever, we need to come together to fight gun violence. The United States is the only country in the world where the interests of the NRA outweigh the safety of the students. Come join the movement that is saving lives–this is your way to make your voice heard.
Be a part of one of the over 800 events for gun control worldwide. Check out the March for Our Lives website to find an event near you. Over 22,000 Georgians have shown interest in the Atlanta march alone — let’s get as many people out there as possible.
But if you can’t make it, make sure to participate by finding your representatives and dropping them a line about what they can do to ban assault-style weapons and create requirements for universal background checks. You can also sign the March for Our Lives petition. It’s time to do more to prevent the next school shooting.
