Better Georgia survives entire Trump rally at Fox Theater

June 15, 2016 By Better Georgia 9 Comments

We did it. And we survived.

Better Georgia went into the belly of the beast to live Tweet Donald Trump’s long, rambling, no-teleprompter speech at the Fox Theater.

Here’s how it all went down.

Ralph Reed, founder and chairman of the Faith & Freedom Coalition, started with some red meat to get the red state crowd fired up.

Ralph Reed at Atlanta Trump rally: America needs to fight radical Islam. #gapol

Ralph Reed at Atlanta Trump rally: "No American can remain neutral in this campaign." Agreed. #StopTrump #gapol

Radio talk show host Herman Cain wanted to assure Trump’s mostly white supporters that Trump is 100 percent not racist. Because that’s a real question right now.

Herman Cain: "Donald Trump is not a racist." #gapol

— Better Georgia (@bettergeorgia) June 15, 2016

You are really winning the election when your surrogates have to claim that you are not a racist. @realDonaldTrump @THEHermanCain #gapol

Trump's general election opponents: Hillary. Obama. Romney. Ryan. McConnell. People who think he's racist. @realDonaldTrump #gapol

Trump's minority engagement dir. tells nearly all white audience at Atl rally that Trump will get more than 20% of African American vote.

— Better Georgia (@bettergeorgia) June 15, 2016

One big problem for Trump, however, is that he couldn’t even fill the theater.

Lots of empty seats at Trump rally at Fox Theatre. Bernie Sanders rally here was at capacity. #gapol

Not much energy here at Trump rally. Sad attempts at start "Trump" chants fizzling and failing. #gapol

Man wearing American flag as cape and sitting on flag trying to start "Trump" chant. No one joins. 🙁 #gapol #TrumpRallyAtl

Fox Theatre capacity: 4,678. Trump rally attendance: Far less. Not much love for Trump in the City Too Busy to Hate. #gapol #LoveTrumpsHate

— Better Georgia (@bettergeorgia) June 15, 2016

Many of the folks who were there were curious progressives, defiant Democrats and protesters.

Lots of young people being thrown out of Trump rally. Trump says "there's so much love here." #gapol

— Better Georgia (@bettergeorgia) June 15, 2016

To distract from the sporadic protesters and the near empty balcony, Trump just makes up a lie and goes with it. Sure, people are really begging to get into this room.

Trump talks about people trying to get into rally. Asks if anyone would give up their seat. There are plenty of empty seats. #gapol

— Better Georgia (@bettergeorgia) June 15, 2016

In the video below, you can actually hear Trump saying “This place is packed. This is amazing,” as a protestor is being led out. You’ve seen the photo above of the near empty balcony during the speech. So you can make up your own mind about how Trump judges crowd size.

— Better Georgia (@bettergeorgia) June 15, 2016

But what could possibly cause these protests? Surely it’s not his views on women, minorities or the religion of Islam. There’s no way it’s his views on guns or his anti-gay Supreme Court picks.

Trump's message at Atlanta rally one of anger, fear and isolationist trade policies. #gapol

Donald Trump: "I have a great respect for women." #gapol

Donald Trump: Gays and lesbians agree with what I'm saying. #gapol

Trump towing the NRA line: If people had guns in Orlando, massacre wouldn't have been as bad. #gapol

— Better Georgia (@bettergeorgia) June 15, 2016

Trump on Orlando shooter: "He was from here, but his parents weren't." #gapol

— Better Georgia (@bettergeorgia) June 15, 2016

Trump: "We have to check the mosques or it's going to eat our country alive." #gapol

— Better Georgia (@bettergeorgia) June 15, 2016

Trump lying about vetting process for Syrian refugees. Preying on people's fears. #gapol

— Better Georgia (@bettergeorgia) June 15, 2016

Nah, it couldn’t be anything Trump is saying. Just politics as usual.

I support Trump! That is what is wrong with a lot of people. It’s not what he says, its how people want to hear it. Look around, OUR Country is being taken over before our very eyes and some want to cover it up and let it happen. I don’t for one minute believe the president in office now has a clue on what he is doing, which seems to be nothing. If our voted officials would stand up and do what is right. We all know its not up to just one person people don’t like in the White House. It is much more than that. At least he says it so that all people can understand, got to give him credit for that. Even you Demo’s really agree but are too afraid to speak it. Hillary Clinton was practically our President when her husband served. She is the bully with just maybe a few less dollars than Trump. She cannot be trusted. I’m a woman and we have our days. I just pray she has went through menopause already. That can really mess with a woman. That is meant to be a statement of truth. Its all about how you want to hear it. Be happy people. Trump’s got this. Tell it like it really is. We don’t have time to waste on sugar-coating our words. Don’t let slow thinking people stop your fast acting works. Truth about our country is what we care about. Not about stupid things like something that may have happened years ago that has nothing to do with terrorism, economy, our Grandchildrens futures. Get real folks. Trump is just REAL

I was at the fox for Mr. Trump’s Rally and it was packed. People were being turned away because it was a ticket only event. As I was going in at least 10 people were told they could not go in without tickets. It filled up about starting time because people took off work to see it and could not sit for two hours. The energy was high and Mr. Trump was amazing!!

To whomever this may concern, if you really want a better Georgia, you had better be voting for Mr. Trump! Stop supporting a person that does not give a dang about you, me or this state or this country! Hillary Rotten Clinton will be a continuation of Obamas failed policies. She is a liar, a murderer, an unethical lawyer, a bully, a terrible politician and she was a terrible first lady. She is a drug addict, and her and Bill have been making millions of dollars off of this country for years by doing favors for big buisness and foreign countries while pretending to be a senator, president of this country. This is not just what I have heard from Mr. Trump but what I have read about her and watched videos from people that know her first hand. She is a power hungry witch that will stop at nothing and will not let anything get in her way. You had better wake up and start supporting Mr. Trump!

To read this one sided report and then to read the truth about the packed house makes me sick. One sided media, as usual. I had already been growing tired of the half assed reporting going on here. This just gives me the push to unsubscribe to this crap. So for that, thank you.
