A right-wing state lawmaker has attacked Better Georgia — again.
Sen. Josh McKoon (R-Columbus), the sponsor of pro-discrimination legislation like the so-called religious “freedom” bill, is furious about about a Better Georgia blog post written by Crystal Muñoz, calling him out on his controversial bills targeting undocumented immigrants, among others. The senator, who chairs the Senate Judiciary Committee, attacked us on one of the state’s top political sites, calling our post a “fairy-tale smear” and accusing us of “race-baiting.”
According to Josh McKoon, Better Georgia is “extreme,” “bitter” and “angry.” He says we’re “hate-filled,” and that we use “Saul Alinksy smear tactics.” Worst of all, he calls Muñoz’s impassioned critique “sophomoric propaganda.”
