As if we needed more proof that he’s not qualified to be president, Donald Trump is now refusing to release his tax returns.
Trump gave plenty of excuses for keeping a lid on his financial documents, but his most shocking reason was that he doesn’t think voters care about them.
Let’s be honest: there may be no other tax return in the history of the world that voters care about more than Donald Trump’s.
Even Georgia’s own David Perdue, a millionaire political novice who ran for U.S. Senate on his business credentials, released his tax returns. Even though candidates are not required to release them, politicians like Perdue have chosen to do so in order to promote transparency and gain the public trust.
Now, for the first time in the modern era, a major political party is on the verge of nominating a candidate for the presidency who has made a career out of bragging about his personal wealth and fiscal acumen, but has no political experience to back it up.
Voters deserve to know whether this guy is a fraud, and believe me, they want to know.
