Better Georgia is under attack.
The organization we’ve built together, is facing a vicious, baseless attack, launched by a GOP loyalist and a Republican establishment executive officer.
There has never been a more important day for you to give to Better Georgia.
Dr. James Burnham, a St. Mary’s chiropractor and past chair of the 1st Congressional District of the Georgia Republican Party, has filed a complaint against Better Georgia with the state ethics commission.
The goal? It’s simple.
Dr. Burnham and the establishment GOP want to destroy the organization we’ve built together. Dr. Burnham has previously filed at least one frivolous ethics complaint that was quickly dismissed.
Unlike Gov. Nathan Deal, whose ethics problems have cost taxpayers $3 million, we take the law very seriously.
But now Better Georgia must defend our free speech rights in front of Gov. Deal’s hand-picked ethics chief who bragged in sworn testimony that she made ethics complaints against Gov. Deal “go away.”
We must respond quickly, so we urgently need your help TODAY.
Will you help Better Georgia fight back against the Deal machine?
Gov. Deal and his team don’t want Better Georgia to exist because they don’t think they should have to answer to anyone – especially you.
They have millions of dollars at their disposal, but, we’re not worried. We have you. More than 5,000 Georgians have already contributed to make sure there is an independent voice to hold Georgia’s single-party super majority accountable. And today we really need you.
We’re betting you’re not going to let them get by with this.
This isn’t the first time Gov. Deal and his team have tried to shut us up or shut us down. They want to kill us by forcing us to spend time and resources responding to baseless allegations.
If you are as outraged as we are that one of the most corrupt governors in the history of our state is out to destroy our organization for daring to hold him accountable, please join me today.
Right now, I’m huddled with our team, planning our legal response to this baseless attack. Frankly, how we respond, and whether or not we survive, is up to you. It all comes down to resources.
We’re counting on you to help sustain the organization you helped create. Together, we can make sure Better Georgia not only survives this attack but emerges stronger and ready to fight.
