Gov. Nathan Deal political appointee calls for culture war

Gov. Nathan Deal’s controversial political appointee Phil Kent called for a culture war on Fox TV yesterday. He started as you would expect, calling the Supreme Court’s decisions a “sad day in America.” But then, in less than three minutes, he made three shocking statements. He dismissed the personal struggles of gay couples as “sob stories.” He made another comment that drew a sharp response from one of two black panelists: “Thank you for telling me how to be offended.” And at the very end, he saved a special name for all of you who believe in marriage equality. As a reminder, this is what Gov. Deal’s Georgia looks like unless you work to change it.
