It’s official. Sen. Don Balfour ousted as Rules Chair

January 15, 2013 By Bryan Long Leave a Comment

Snellville Republican Sen. Don Balfour, who is the target of a GBI probe for filing false expense reports, lost his chairmanship of the powerful Rules Committee. Georgia’s State Senate made the news official when it released committee assignments last night.

You’ll remember that during the last election season Better Georgia broadcast an ad pointing out Sen. Balfour’s unethical behavior during his time as an elected official.

We aren’t surprised by this news. Sen. Balfour cleaned out his Rules office last week.
